Russian scientific magazine highlights work of Paraguayan musician

The Russian scientific magazine Iconi publishes in its first edition of 2020, in its section dedicated to contemporary music, an extensive 10-page interview with the Paraguayan composer and conductor Diego Sánchez Haase.
The material, published in Russian and English, was prepared by the prominent American musicologist and composer Professor Dr. Edward Green, Professor of Musicology at the famous Manhattan School of Music in New York, United States.

says the publication in its introduction, according to the press office of the national musician. “For me it is an honor to be the interviewee for this edition in the Contemporary Composers chapter,” said Sánchez Haase.

Content. During the extensive interview, the Guaireño director and composer refers to the worldwide diffusion of his works, especially his two operas Pancha and Elisa and Ñomongeta (the first opera in Guaraní), as well as his work with the National Congress Symphony Orchestra and the Bach Society of Paraguay. It also refers to their research work, projects, among other topics.

Iconi is one of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world. It publishes interdisciplinary scientific research works in the field of the humanities.
